Get the Internet Injustice Dance Party Started!

Alternate Album Covers

Its here Pirates and Piraettes!
IDP is finally available over the information super highway at your downloading leisure. East Buddha finally joins the auspicious ranks of musical groups that actually allow people to listen to their albums. I know, we are such sell outs, but everybody’s doing it. After receiving word of Radiohead’s new record being available to download the camel’s back broke (spilling wine-cooler everywhere). We figured if those dudes can have their record on the internet, then why can’t we?
Our previous marketing strategy of leaving the 70 or so CD’s under a TV in the basement and forgetting to bring them to our few live appearances was simply unworkable. However, new Piratehouse President of Marketing/Percussion, Riley Scruggs, has certainly “righted the ship,” as it were, and ushered this company further into the Electronic Age. His masterful PR campaign is summed up in his signature slogan, “Hey guys, we should be on the Internet, like Radiohead.” And so we have.

Now go reap the Booty of our labors! I’m certain that by clicking somewhere on this post (the word "Booty" above) of elsewhere on the blog or facebook page will transport you pirate fans to what pitchfork never called, “the single greatest step forward for horror-pop since Daniel Johnston’s 1990.”

For those just joining us, Injustice Dance Party (IDP) is East Buddha's debut LP. The band wrote, recorded, produced and engineered the album's 15 songs from December '07 thru July '09. This work took place in Birmingham basements, a San Francisco loft, apartments in Atlanta and Macon, Georgia, and culminated in an Ole Auburn farmhouse on July 4th. IDP was mixed and mastered by Chris Bethea in Muscle Shoals, AL and finally saw its physical release in April '10. The songs cover a wide swath of musical genres including Rawk, ram-shackle pop, space-country, dance, and even some sort of sexy-murder-halloween-R&B thing. East Buddha is pleased to finally make Injustice Dance Party widely available and they hope you enjoy the record.

Special Thanks to Joseph Diggerness for engineering, recording, producing and mixing "Vampire Cowboy."
